In latest edition of Exame Magazine – Edition 1000, Signove was cited in an article about how students from universities of north and northeast of Brazil are highlighted in technological field.
Signove was highlighted as a successful startup case born from university projects. It was cited how Signove is the only consultancy company with contracts with Nokia Finland in South America, and how the company is built up by former students of cooperation projects with industry.

Signove had its spot on Intel booth at MWC 2011 (Mobile World Congress in Barcelona). We demonstrated our Continua based solution on Meego. Aldenor Martins, Head of Technology at Signove, presented our Continua Manager Solution that simplifies the integration of health and wellness peripherals with MeeGo apps. Aldenor demonstrated the prototype Continua stack for Meego devices, which greatly simplifies data transfer from certified peripherals and helps enable the creation of powerful health and wellness apps.

Antidote is an IEEE 11073 stack that enables communication with any 11073-20601 compatible device.
At this stage Antidote API is fully tested with Linux and BlueZ >= 4.81.
Motivation:
Signove has been contributing to enable HDP support in BlueZ (Linux Bluetooth stack) since 2010. However, HDP suppport is just the bottom half of the necessary support to communicate with a medical device. A prospective user still needed to find an IEEE 11073 stack library supplier, which would likely be expensive and closed-source.
For the time being, Signove releases the Antidote IEEE stack because we believe this is a valuable contribution to the community, and we believe that in that way we get a more robust system in exchange.
Licensed under LGPL, developers will have more freedom to create applications based on Antidote, either open-source or commercial.
Currently, Antidote supports Linux and BlueZ only. However, its transport plug-in architecture and few to none dependencies on other libraries lends itself to easy portability, either (rever) across different Bluetooth stacks, different operating systems, or even other transports like TCP/IP or USB devices.

In last edition of Bluetooth Signature Magazine (Q1´11), a special article about Signove was published. In this article, Signove is considered an ambitious startup company, which is the first Brazilian company to become Bluetooth SIG Associate member. Also, it is highlighted Signove work with Low-Energy technologies and in improvements with communication between medical devices using Bluetooth technology.

The Embedded Lab in partnership with SIDI-Samsung, Signove and Faculdade IDez, promoted the First Bada Tech Days in João Pessoa, Brazil, last week (December 01, 02 and 03 – 2010). The event brought more than 100 participants that watched talks and training sessions about Bada. In the first day happened a session of talks and discussions about Bada and Mobile Technologies. From Signove, Mateus Lima presented a talk about “Mobile DTV and Bada”, discussing the challenges and limitations to develop a Mobile DTV solution in the Bada platform. Signove joined Bluetooth SIG (special Interesting Group) in H1 2010. Signove is working with LE (Low Energy profile) technologies. We want to strength the adoption of Bluetooth technologies and upcoming Low Energy based technologies.
Signove, also, joined the Continua Health Alliance in H1 2010. Signove is an expert on “IEEE 11073 Personal Health Devices” set of standards and is developing products following IEEE ecosystem.

(In Portuguese) Durante os meses de setembro e outubro, os alunos que fazem parte do projeto de cooperação entre a UFCG e a empresa Signove Tecnologia S.A. ministrarão e participarão de cursos relacionados às diversas tecnologias abordadas no projeto. O cronograma de cursos, cada um com duração de uma semana, inicia-se com Desenvolvimento para iPhone, seguido por Android, Qt, Bada e Windows Mobile. A idéia é disseminar o conhecimento entre os alunos do projeto, garantindo que todos possam desenvolver para todas as plataformas. Os próprios alunos ministrarão os cursos, utilizando a experiência adquirida nas plataformas durante os últimos meses, quando 5 grupos trabalharam no desenvolvimento do mesmo aplicativo que utiliza serviços baseado em localização, cada grupo em uma tecnologia específica. Agora, é chegada a hora de compartilhar os conhecimentos com os colegas de projeto. No próximo passo do projeto, os grupos serão alterados, fazendo com que cada aluno desenvolva um novo aplicativo em uma tecnologia diferente.

(In Portuguese) O Workshop de Teses e Dissertações (WDCOPIN) é um fórum dedicado à apresentação e discussão de trabalhos de mestrado e doutorado em andamento no Programa de Pós-graduação em Ciência da Computação da UFCG, tendo como público alvo alunos de graduação e pós-graduação. A programação incluiu apresentações técnicas dos alunos de mestrado e doutorado, palestras convidadas de professores do CEEI/UFCG, mesa redonda e brindes. Mais de 200 pessoas compareceram ao evento, durante os seus quatro dias. A Signove foi a patrocinadora oficial do evento.

In the last month of June, two new Signove applications were published on Ovi Store. The first one is the already known Hot n’cold application. With Hot n`cold you can hide virtual treasures, and use the application to find those treasures with the help of a thermometer and the device GPS.
The second application is the mobScore. MobScore is a simple application that helps you to mark your sports game score. Do you like to play a basketball or soccer match with your friends on weekends? MobScore helps you to mark the time and score of each match. Enjoy!
